25NL Cash Game Poker Commentary | Podcast #119

I recorded poker commentary while playing one table of 25NL on ACR.  I discuss blind play, post-flop bet sizing, exploiting opponents, PokerTracker4 and The Smart HUD along with important stats (and I pull off some great bluffs!).

In episode 118 called ‘Revenge!’, I told you how to deal with your most irksome opponents.

25NL Cash Game Poker Commentary

A listener named John Burke sent in a suggestion:

Hey Sky, I’m on a road trip today and listening to some of your older podcasts. I’m writing because I thought of a good idea for some podcast episodes that I would love and I’m sure others would appreciate as well.

Last night I was watching some poker on TV trying to analyze how the others were playing to improve my game. I’m thinking to myself right now, “What if Sky did a 30 minute to 1 hour LIVE commentary of him playing a poker game online. The podcast would basically be your live commentary through every hand, even the ones that you are not in.

This would allow the listeners to get LIVE advice and tips from you while playing a hand, learn from actual game experience, and add a nice addition to the podcast.

Let me know what you think.

I love it, thanks, John.

In the podcast (audio in the player above or the video below), you’ll hear me play the cash game session for about :35 minutes.  But, if you’ve got the opportunity, you’d be better off watching it in YouTube below:

Challenge

Here’s my challenge to you for this episode:  Get out there and record your own game tape with commentary like I just did.  I guarantee you’ll play better as you’re forced to back your actions up with verbalized reasoning, plus it gives you great study material for your next session.

Now it’s your turn to take action and do something positive for your poker game.

Up Next…

In podcast #120, I’ll finally get back to the MED series and I’ll conclude MED #4 on Blind Play when I discuss blind versus blind considerations and exploits.

Until next time, study smart, play much and make your next session the best one yet.
